WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SIN?

Why doesn't God swiftly punish a person or a nation of persons for their sins?

What happens when a person today commits a sin?
As to the immediate effect or judgment for one's committed sin, most probably nothing will happen. God will not cause lightning or fire to come down and strike you dead immediately as he did through a prophet of God in Elijah's day upon at least 100 of the King's army, II Kings 1:10-12. God will not have a fatal heart attack come upon you and your wife at the moment you are lying to the Holy Spirit working in a servant of God, (as it was in Acts 5:3-11),
or have you struck blind, because of your sin of being an enemy to God and fighting against God and His righteousness by turning people away from the true Christ of the Bible and from true righteousness given in His Word, (as it was in Acts 13:8-12). However, this does not mean God does not have the power to carry out such punishment for sin at a present moment, or that  he will not do this in the near future.

Today's professing Christian churches do not punish its sinning church members by the way of disfellowship because of their obvious sin, because most do not even know what is sin. And today's government and its judging or judiciary system shows great respect of persons by punishing certain ones for their righteousness and permitting others, sinners to go free. So sin seems to have free reign in people's lives at the present in today's society, first in the churches of the land and second in the governments of the land.

Christ at the present does not  cause  death to come upon a sinning and wicked government leader or any sinning and wicked, irresponsible, church person in a leadership role by an immediate, body consuming curse of worms consuming his or her body, (as it happened in Acts 12:23).  God is not causing death to come upon your children as it was when two she bears came out of the forest to kill them, as was the case with some children mocking a prophet of God, as it was with Elisha, the prophet, (II Kings 2:24). Will some or any of these quick or immediate judgments for sins, ever again come upon people's lives and for any nation's wickedness and sins such as it is today of all the evil and wicked sins of nations and personal lives that are becoming a dirty, and terrible stench in the nostrils of God? God's Word says it will, and if you are understanding, reading, and studying His prophecy, His Word, and understanding all of the terrible sins coming out of today's news,  His judgment for all sins will come about very soon.

So all this simply means that God's immediate judgment for your sins has not taken your life yet, and so God's patience in love and mercy has been extended for a little more time for you and the majority of people. But, just because His sure punishment for everybody's sins has not been brought to judgment at the present time, please don't believe for one minute that it is not coming and most probably  will be coming very, very soon. This can be recognized if one is watching the world and seeing how the sins, which are so perverted, so corrupt, and so twisted, and are bringing about terrible actions of death, curses, diseases and corrupting the behaviors upon all of today's society.

These wicked sins of people are being permitted by all of the ministers of today by their not crying aloud against all sins, but are covered them up  through deception. Their teaching of great deception about sin is giving its members and all people seemingly scriptural license to sin. This is along with government leaders continually making more laws to giving license to the general population that they have government approval to sin and to continue in their sins without punishment. They are passing laws to protect the wicked, the sinful, and the lawless and at the same time passing laws to punish the righteous. They along with today's professing to be ministers of God are also trying to rid the land of God's 10 commandments through laws and ministers' so called Christian teaching.

All of these wicked evil works and sins are  so perverting human life and family, by murdering and destroying young lives in the womb, and so confusing the role of parents, child discipline, and family life that God's plan for man and the building of families is being brought to total devastation, disfunction, more and more with each passing day. All of this sin and its leavening effect is mounting higher and higher each day before God, and the coming great judge, Jesus Christ, who is about to be revealed to all of the world.

So most likely, none of  God's quick judgments for sin will be produced for one's immediate destruction at the present. So in the short term the immediate judgment for sin, probably nothing will happen, even if one commits sin over and over. However, in the long term, at the end of one's life, or when Christ brings His judgment over all the earth very soon, during the Great Tribulation, Christ's 3 and 1/2 years judgment  Day of His judging, the Lord's judgment for all of men's sins will take place at that time. Jesus Christ's inspired Scriptures, foretell about Him coming as judge with His judgment upon all people of the earth and their sins, and will be fulfilled at that time, II Pet. 3:9-12. The wages for sin which is death, will take place and His law given in judgments will be fulfilled at this time and day.

The Lord tells us in II Peter 3:9 ---"that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."  Verse 10, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

So What does Christ say will happen when we sin? Eventually, all people will perish unless there is true repentance. This is Christ's own Words, Luke 13:5, where Christ says "--- Repent or perish." Any professed believer who accepts today's false, Christian teaching about a grace that gives permission to sin, break God's law, and believes nothing will ever happen for his sins, is really not knowing and preparing himself by the will of Christ, and will suffer and be beaten with many stripes, severely punished, Luke 12:45-46, along with his iniquitous and lawless teaching pastor. The day of Jesus Christ, the day of His judgment that is soon coming upon all peoples will come very quickly once it starts. People will be greatly shocked and will become very depressed that they did not take the time in their life to sort out their sinful life and truly repent of their sins, and have learned  what is sin and what is real repentance.

Any pastor teaching you can continue in your sins without receiving Christ's judgment, Luke 12:47, is a liar and a fraud and will be punished severely. Why is this so? Because the Bible says it is so. The Scripture says "The fruit of sin is death," Rom. 6:23. It says "The soul (a living and breathing being) that sins will die," Ezek. 18:4. Most pastors  and church memebers reject God's definition of sin. I John 3:4 instructs us that "Sin is the transgression of the law." The 10 commandments are the very foundation of all  of God's law.

These pastors, ministers, and people who think they are doing the will of Christ by not speaking out against all sins, Christ will denounce and cast out, because they have accepted the way of Satan, a lifestyle of sin in their churches and lives. Their continuing to sin, which they openly confess that they do over and over, and by their terrible examples and lying messages to influence others to follow them and their horrible, sinning examples, Christ will say to them, "depart from me, you that work iniquity," Mat 7:23. Christ calls such professors of Christ, workers of iniquity, because they criticize the teachers of righteousness, and the teachers and servants that teach the keeping of God's 10 commandments. They  are enemies of all righteousness, by casting off Christ's teaching of His sure coming judgment for all sins, Luke 13:25-27, and His teaching that you must submit to obeying God's commandments and His Gospel to be accepted by Christ and to be righteous, I John 3:4-7, Rom. 2:13.

Christ said, "As it (the judgment for sin) was in Noah and Lot's day, even so shall it be in the days and revealing of the Son of Man," Luke 17: 26-30.

What happens when the land sins greatly? God's land cleansing, judgment will come upon that land! "Son of man, when the lands sin against Me, by sinning grievously (greatly), then I will stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread (man's food chain stops), and will send famine upon it, and cut off man (cut off from man's services, the economy), and beasts (animal and meat products) from it," Ezek. 14:13. The Eternal, Creator continues to say in verse 14, "Though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness." God continues in verse 16 by saying, "They (these three) shall deliver neither (own) sons or daughters, they only shall be delivered, but the land shall become desolate."

God goes on to say in verse 20-23 of Ezek. 14, "It is not without cause, (cause of great sins) that God will bring His four sore judgments on the land with famine, war, disease and wild beasts." We are real close to that time for the ones that have eyes to see and ears to hear what the spirit is saying to all churches and all people. Will Christ professing people heed the message? According to prophecy in Revelation most will not heed and will have to experience the great tribulation of famine, war, prison, and disease to get and understand God's warning and salvation message. Their repentance may come only through their martyrdom. This will be a situation much like the thief on the cross. True repentance coming only through their death.

What happens when the whole world and society sins greatly? People need to heed the warning of past world judgments. Because daily in this world, it is becoming as it was before the flood. "Every imagination of the thoughts of man's heart is of evil continually," Gen. 6:5. The thoughts of the people are about violence, unlawful and perverted sex,  lying as a way of life, church leaders lying and government leaders lying, coveting and stealing  of the people's money, and goods and property. "Whereas, all flesh has corrupted His (God's) way upon the earth," verse 12, "And the earth and land is filled with violence, behold I will destroy them with the earth," verse 13.

Jesus Christ says, "As it was in the days of Noah  so shall it be (today) in the days of the Son of Man." This is the time of the Lord's judgment on the earth.  "They were eating, drinking, marrying wives,   till the Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot, they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all, even shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed," Luke 17:26-30.

This nation and the world is in its last days of man's society, and due to its multitude of sins, the services of man and beast will soon be cut off. This will cause famine to take place everywhere. The sword of civil war which will be the killing of one another will then take place, Rev. 6:4, then death from diseases of unheard proportions, along with the wild beasts of the earth taking their share of the devastation, Rev. 6:8. Then all believers' conversions, faith, and testimonies will be tested and called into question, Rev. 6:9-11. A time of a great martyrdom of compromising, unrightous, sinful, lukewarm believers. As Christ has foretold, "There has never been a time like this, the judgment for sins of man and never ever will be again." Study Isa. 13:9-16, Jer. 30:7, Joel 2:1-3, Zeph. 1:13-18 and Rev. 6:1-17.

God says in Isa. 13:9, "Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it." Joel 2:1-2, "Blow you the trumpet in Zion (warn people) and sound in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord comes, for it is nigh at hand;  V2. A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong, there has not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations."

What happens when we sin? It will soon be made known to all sinners!  Very, very, soon all people of the earth will understand justice and judgment for sin, in relation to mercy and faith. The religious Jews of Christ day, the Pharisees, the Saducees, broke God's commandments, and did not repent and change their life. Neither did they have faith in Jesus Christ, to receive His mercy, nor did they realize that Christ is going to eventually judge their sins. Christ told them on a number of occasions that they did not obey and keep the law of God, Mat. 15:3-9, John 7:19. Christ warned them and asked them the question, "How can you escape the damnation (judgment) of hell?" They can't and no one else can escape the judgment, who sins and continues to sin, whether he is aware of it or not! Ignorance of God's law will be no excuse! Everyone has, or can have access to God's Word and His law, that points out sin. God's Word and law of His Bible is in every home or should be.

Once again, Jesus Christ makes it very clear in Hebrews 10:26, "If we sin willfully after having received the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin." And anyone that does not know what is sin, is one who does not know where even to begin his life of becoming a true saint of the Father and Jesus Christ and is in serious trouble.

The question that was asked, "What happens when we sin," is answered very clearly in God's word. Study what Christ says with these Scriptures concerning His judgment for sin, II Peter 3:7-12, II Peter 2:4-9, Jude 14-15, Rev. 6:1-17, II Cor. 5:10. People of the "no judgment for sin mindset," don't have long to wait to find out what will happen to them if they are not going to believe what Christ's Word says about the judgment for sin. Very soon the Great Tribulation will begin and everyone who does not believe His Word, and will not repent of their sins, will be a vivid, live, fiery, burning example of what happens when we sin! Everyone's opinion of what he thinks the Scripture is saying and his believed to be good life that he is living by his own standards will not be accepted to cover unrepentant sins. If a sinner does not repent, of what God says is his sins, he will perish.
