This Day is spoken of as being such a time of tribulation, judgment, darkness, suffering and death coming upon the earth's inhabitants that there has never been such a time like this period of days of destruction, and there will never be another time like it as it is told and repeatedly  told by the Lord's prophets and Jesus Christ Himself, Mat.24:21. This time period, because of man's ever increasing wickedness, evil and sins is fast approaching its beginning of a 3 1/2 year fulfillment.

    Once the Day of the Lord begins its fulfillment, it will produce two very important effects on the earth and its inhabitants. One important effect will be the cleansing of the earth, of all its filth, all its poisons, toxins, and pollutions, all of its filthy and poisonous water supply, of all its unhealthy nutrient deficient food supply, its unhealthy air, its unhealthy health care. These are all curses of broken laws, which are basically God's 10 commandments. These are the Lord's high standards that the government, churches, and the people have ruled and put out of their churches, out of their public places, as being no longer needed as excellent, outstanding standards to live and be governored by in our communities, and to teach us how we are to love our neighbor and how to love our Great Creator Lord, I John 5:1-5. These commandments have been rejected by all of mankind.

    This Day and time period will also be the cleansing of the earth of all its sinners, their wickedness and evil. This will be a cleansing of all the arrogance, the high mindedness of all its proud people, the cleansing of its higher upper class of the worldly intelligent, who believe they are above God's law, His 10 commandments as standards and guidelines for their lives and behavior and for their nations, Isa. 2:12. "Everyone that is proud and lofty, and upon everyone that is lifted up, he shall be brought low."

     This time period referred to as the Day of the Lord will cleanse the earth of all the people with all of their sins of idolatry which today is relied on to drive its economy, like Satan's idolatrous Christmas, along with all of Satan's idolatrous religions, exalting men as idols in the church and teaching lies for profit and lies against Jesus Christ. Man and Satan's idolatrous movies, many too filthy and vulgar to watch with all its wickedness, exalt and glorify men and women as stars and giants in people's lives and as being idols before  the people, to hold them high in people's hearts and minds above the Lord God. How would you think the Lord God feels toward people exalting other people above Him, the great Creator of all life? I would say He is very, very jealous and wrathful. The Lord God will cleanse the earth of all idolatry.

    The coming Day of the Lord will be such a day of cleansing of all the earth's sinners, all because of their wickedness, such wickedness as its sins of increasing fornication, along with all of its evil people teaching that fornication with all of its ways of perverted and unlawful sex, should be accepted as normal behavior, beginning in  the schools. This Day of the Lord's cleansing will cleanse the earth of all this evil, along with all other evil people with their sins of lying, stealing, robbing and fraud as a way of life in businesses and leadership positions. Study Rev. 22:12-15 to see who the Lord will accept and who He will not accept into eternal life.

   This earth cleansing will stop all the sins and teachings of the killing of the innocent lives in the wombs through abortion. This is done by people seeking freedom from the guilt of their sexual sins. This earth cleansing will also stop all the killing and violence of nations'  bloody, phony, staged wars as presented answers for freedom from terrorists, tyrants, and warring nations. This earth's cleansing will stop all of the created terrorist actions and evils of killing innocent people in seemingly independent incidents in malls, churches, or other gatherings, or by governments military actions in nations, and all needed to keep everybody in the state of fear and terror and in a mind set of giving up all their liberties and freedom for a military control of all their lives.     This Bible prophesied time, this Day of the Lord, will cleanse all the world of its people and their greedy sins, its slave labor, and its oppressing of the poor, fatherless and widows, by their greed of a heavy tax burden and their selfish greed  over pricing of products, energy and fuel needs. The Lord tells us in Ps.41:1 "Blessed is he that considers the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble." This is more than just giving a poor person a free meal, but helping him in ways that he can help himself  to be freed from his poverty and slave state.

     This time and day will cleanse and put a stop to all the medical people who are not seeking health care the natural and godly way. Good health care is not attained by withholding information, physical and spiritual that can help people be healed in their diseases, illnesses. People today could be helped and healed the natural way with true health information. Good health information from God's Word will help one to know how to prevent ill health and treat illnesses with natural means of a corrected nutritional Biblical diet containing no unclean meats along with the help of herbs and supplements. This is the health care to be learned for prevention and healing of disease, rather than through a health care prescribing a poisoned, terrible, side effect drug route along with shots and vaccinations containing poisonous mercury and other unclean products. Good health care is a personal responsibility, not government responsibility. Disease and illnesses are a curse upon man, Deut. 28:15-45 tells us this, but Deut. 28:1:14, tells of God's blessing with good health if we obey God.

    The Day of the Lord is about the cleansing the earth of all false religions including today's accepted false Christianity. Today's widely followed false Christianity is one of the greatest of all of Satan's deceptions and it involves hundreds of thousands of preachers, pastors, and evangelists with billions of members  all over the world and all claiming that they represent the Jesus Christ of Scripture. The truth is they do not represent Christ, but Satan,  and one of his many false christs that his ministers have raised up in today's accepted Christianity.

    The truth is they do not teach the truth, but lies, and  false doctrines that presents the true Christ of the Scripture as a Savior of sin, not a Savior from sin, who permits the continuation of sin in people's lives and  if they accept one of these false christs that they preach, they are told they can still be accepted with their sins into God's Kingdom. They all lie about what the Bible teaches. They lie about Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. They lie about Christ's gospel, and pervert His gospel, they lie about Christ's grace teaching it is Christ's unmerited favor, they lie about what is righteousness, that it can be attained without obeying Christ's 10 commandments. They lie about Christ's 10 commandments and teach that people don't have to repent of breaking all 10 of them. They teach one lie after another. They then steal Christ's tithes and offerings to do their evil work and all of these evil doings and preachings are deceiving people by the millions and even billions. All of these evil and wicked religions and their leaders will be cleansed from the earth.

     Satan has deceived the whole world not only in all religions, including today's accepted Christianity, but in every part of people's lives, Rev. 12:9. As the result of all this terrible wickedness and evil and sins of this nation and all its people, every person who individually can see what is taking place needs to get serious about their life if they want the Lord God to protect them from His coming wrath. They need to read, meditate upon God's Word, and think soberly and seriously about what the Lord really does say and what He has planned for all sinners in this coming time period of the Lord's judgment, a time yet to be fulfilled and then ask  themselves, " am I one of the sinners that the Lord will cause to perish and be destroyed at this time called the Day of the Lord"? Are you living by your standards and your church's standards and commandments of men, or by God's standards, His 10 commandments, which are all taught to be kept throughout His Scriptures in order to be accepted by the Lord Jesus Christ, to be forgiven one's sins to receive eternal life, Mat. 19:17-19?

    The Lord Jesus Christ tells us all in Isa. 13:6, 9, 11, "Howl you, for the day of the Lord is at hand: it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty." V 9, " Behold, the Day of the Lord comes cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it." (this includes all sinners, this includes all professed Christians who will not repent of their sins, but still profess they are Christians, living by their own standards, and yet confessing they are still sinners). This is all because they have been convinced by their minister of Satan who preaches to them that no one can live their life without continuing to sin daily. He is lying to them about what God's Word says. The Lord says in Verse 11, "And I will punish the world for their evil and the wickedness for their iniquity (all their sins): and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible."  This is a serious warning to all the earth's terrible and wicked sinning people whether they are preachers, church members, government leaders,  dictators, who all are lying, robbing and lording it over its people. The Lord says at the conclusion of this judgment  of the Lord, "these people will be no more." This Day of the Lord will be a day of great darkness, gloom and destruction over all the land all because people continually  believe that they can live their lives in sin and not have to pay the penalty. Satan and all of his ministers continually say  you can, but the Lord God says you cannot.

     The second very important and good purposeful effect that the Day of the Lord will produce is, that salvation will be given to a great number of people at that time, even though they will not repent now, they will at that time, through a fiery suffering trial, be brought to reality about their sins in their lives. They will be tested to their death, hunted down and thrown in prison, to be killed, shot, or beheaded (Rev. 20:4). This will be brought about by their own governments or a world government because of their repentance of their sins they now come to know the real Christ and have a testimony in the real Jesus Christ. They will be imprisoned, because they will not worship the beast. People, by experiencing the Day of the Lord, called The Great Tribulation, will be brought to a truthful and serious look at themselves and hopefully a repentance of their sins will come about through this great trial coming to all the earth. They in their last days of life will be much like the repentant thief on the cross who in the last minutes of his life repented and accepted Christ as Savior, and Christ told him he would be in God's Kingdom.

   The Lord  Jesus Christ tells us in Revelation, a book that is all about the Day of the Lord, in chapter 7:9,14, "And Lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands." V, 14, "And I said unto him, Sir, you knowest. and He said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (by coming to repentance of their sins and accepting Christ for their redemption and salvation before their death).

    In Rev. 6:9 Jesus Christ says "And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain (beheaded) for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held." These are professed Christians of Christian churches today, who now truly have come to know the real and true Jesus Christ at this testing time and who at this moment in their life see the need to reject the false christ that they had been worshipping. The true Jesus Christ will be revealed to them at this time. They had only known the false christs in their churches, who they believe could save them, but were deceived. This is the prophesied time, the Day of the Lord, brought about for the revealing of the true Jesus Christ to all the world, II Thes. 1:6-9.

    This is also a testing time and a Jesus Christ revealing time for all other religions who would not and had never accepted the true Jesus Christ as the only promised SAVIOR. And there will also be Laodician Christians (lukewarm Christians) who even though they accepted a Christ and professed to know the true Jesus Christ, but in reality, Christ did not know them because of their half-heartedness, their sins of compromising of Christ's Ten Commandments, professing that they were commandment keepers, but were commandment transgressors. They in their idolatry were followers of men, who were false preachers, or false pastors, rather than following the true Jesus Christ and His Word. Because of their deception and following a false christ, they never could tell the difference between the false and true pastors, because they were not able to identify the difference between good and bad fruit, because of their own sins which they were not able to identify. Nobody had ever introduced the true, the genuine and the real Jesus Christ to them.

    These were church members, who in their past, had put the social church, its fellowshipping and its false pastor's teaching way ahead of following the true Jesus Christ and what He commands in His Word and so Christ was not living in them, nor did He know them. They taught and believed fellowship with members came first ahead of truth and doctrine, because of the lies of preachers that taught fellowship and being in church was above truth and doctrine. They really had not been born of Christ's Spirit, they believed that all came later at the resurrection and so were operating their life on their own spirit following man's commandments, basically living by their flesh, not God's Spirit, which was not in them. Jesus Christ at His coming will cast them out and tell them that they are workers of iniquity (commandment transgressors) and that He never knew them, Mat. 7:23. Wow, what a time of awakening and gnashing of teeth. Christ will say at that time " And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, You that work iniquity." Iniquity means lawlessness, not keeping God's 10 commandments and teaching against the keeping of God's commandments.

     So these people came out of the tribulation having overcome all of their deceptions, following false Christian teachings, all their deceptions about accepting sin in their life and who looked now to the real Jesus Christ and His redemption of them even to their death and imprisonment, by their total repentance and submission to the real Christ. They had to repent of their proud, churchy, self-righteous heart and mind. They had to overcome their depraved, false religious state. These will be people who will have been beaten down at this time, being affected by having all their money, stocks, money CD'S and saving accounts, all their prosperity, lands taken from them, which will be much like what happened to Job, who had to lose everything, which caused him and helped him to see his true Lord and His greatness by seeing and understanding his self-righteous state to help him to repent so he could be accepted into God's Kingdom. The Scripture tells us this about Job in Job 42:5-6 "I have heard of you (the Lord) by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees you. V.6 Wherefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes."

    After that repentance God really blessed Job, and at the time of the Day of the Lord, for those that will repent, the Lord Jesus Christ will really bless those who will repent with eternal life and inheritance of the earth and will receive that blessing at the end of the Day of the Lord period of 3 and 1/2 years. Many of today's professed Christians will have to come to the same awakening as Job, coming to see and know the true Lord and Christ, but through much sufferings and even with the testing of death during Day of the Lord, because they were too stubborn, and high in their thoughts about their sins and life today.

     It will take the Day of the Lord, the Great Tribulation, coming upon people at this time to help them come to a state of meekness, humility and true repentance. People must be humbled to come to the state of repentance and conversion. Read Mat. 18:3-5. It will take this testing time of being hunted down, being put in prison because of their belief in Christ,  to help them see their religious idolatry, which had been a part of them all their life, blinding them, believing they were saved by following and worshipping one of the false christs that had been set up in all their churches all across the earth. However, if they can see their deception and change their heart to obedience to Christ and believe in the true Jesus Christ as the real Savior, they are going to be rewarded with eternal life and receive that eternal life a few months after their death. They will recall having read this message, but threw it off as having no meaning for them.

    The Lord Jesus Christ cannot live in anybody that lives in a state of false, religious and self-righteous church prosperity, and fueled and ruled by their monetary prosperity that blinds their true state. It is extremely difficult for a rich man or a religious, false, spiritually rich person, to enter God's Kingdom, Mat. 19:24 and Rev. 3:17-19. Either one can not in that state have Christ living in them. Money and the desire for money rules as a supreme god in many people's lives. Eternal life does not appeal to people in their riches. Money is king of their life now, even though it as their god and is what they put first, will cause their destruction later.

     The Lord God has a pre-planned program that He will use to get  the attention of all the people and He calls it, "The Day of the Lord." This prophesied event will be a far cry from Satan's inspired, false rapture that millions upon millions of professed, false, deceived Christians are trusting in for deliverance, that they hope will lift them out of this coming Day of the Lord, with all its testing, afflictions, suffering and death. However, all of today's, false, professing Christians do not have any of God's Word to support their false, Satanic inspired, belief of a Christian rapture. There is no way to escape the penalties of sin except through repentance and appealing to Jesus Christ for His forgiveness.

     When the Day of the Lord comes upon the earth and all its inhabitants,  it is coming upon everybody, guaranteed by Christ's Word, and just as Christ says it will. It will come like a thief in the night for those not expecting this event. No one shall escape this terrifying time, except the truly, Christ-filled, righteous, commandment keeping, saints of the Lord, who are obedient to Him now. These righteous saints will not be lifted up spiritually in a spirit, as in a false taught rapture, but will be led out physically in their body by the Lord's angels to a place on this earth for their protection, safety, and to be fed for 3 1/2 years.     So, how then can a person today avoid this suffering and even death or imprisonment at that terrible time? It can come about by being accounted worthy to escape this terrible time, coming upon this earth. How is a person accounted worthy to escape this great trial coming upon all the earth? Rev. 3:10 says to a true Christian,   "Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation (meaning tribulation, time of  great testing during great adversity) which shall come upon all the world, to try (test) them that dwell  upon the earth."

    First, a person must truly believe in and learn patience with the Father and Jesus Christ, His Son, and believe They are real and Their Word is true, and believe that this event will come to pass in His patience, as God's Word says it will. In other words, a person must believe Jesus Christ's Words about the coming of this Day of the Lord, this terrible time, and that it will come and be fulfilled just as Christ, Paul, Peter, John, Isaiah, Joel and other prophets have foretold that it would. We must be patient and wait upon the Lord to deliver His Saints. The Lord continually commands us to be patient and wait upon the Lord. However, you must wait in being continually obedient to Him and all that He commands in His Word. Be patient in keeping the Lord's Word and you must be patient with God in Him keeping His Word with you. Don't let persecution from family and friends deter you from the great reward of eternal life. No trial, test, suffering can compare with the great reward promised to you.

     One must look at, study and meditate on all the Scriptures pertaining to this terrible time. The Scriptures tell us we can learn and understand by studying, connecting the dots, line upon line, and precept upon precept, as Isaiah 28:10-17 tells us. By connecting all the Scriptures on any subject, a person is less likely to take that subject and its understanding out of its context and into deception as the world's religions have done today, along with today's, false, lying Christianity. This study and understanding of God's Word will also help prevent a person from falling into today's wide, false path of religious destruction and ending up not receiving salvation as Christ warns His followers, Mat. 7:13-16.

     In order to avoid and not be a part of this terrible time, the Day of the Lord, coming upon all nations and all the earth's inhabitants, one must have commitment and a high desire to work out one's salvation as Scripture commands, for eternal life and believe he or she can  receive salvation now, and be committed and is willing now to submit to what Christ requires of all sinners to receive salvation Now. This is the urgency that one must see and understand and then examine one's life now, not waiting to a later time, the soon coming Day of the Lord, but do what is required of all sinners in receiving salvation NOW! Then you can be the fulfilling of Zeph. 2:3 and will prevent that day and time coming upon you as a thief in the night.  You will be prepared in your mind and heart to be led out for His protection and safety of your life. The Lord tells us in I Thes. 5:4-5, "But you true brethren (people who have been saved now) are not in darkness, that that day shall overtake you as a thief." V5, Says,   "brethren are children of the light and not of the night, nor of darkness." V6, "We are not to sleep, as do others: but let us watch and be sober."

     Jesus Christ is Now standing at the door of today's, professed Christian heart, Rev. 3:20, and knocking through this vital information given  to him or her in this article. And He says, "If any man or woman will hear my voice, and open the door, (do what Christ requires of them to come to know Him, so He will come to know you) I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me."

 
    Christ then gives us more information in verses 21 and 22," To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in His throne. V.22, He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches."

     What does the average person or professing Christian church member have to overcome? He or she has to first overcome by rising up out of all of the world's, false, religious deceptions, come out of Babylon, the system of religious lies, confusion and destruction. For some that means to overcome all religious teaching that teach there are other ways to receive salvation besides through Jesus Christ. This is one of Satan's widely popular lies that is totally against the Bible and teachings of God.
 
    For others in today's, false, confusing Christianity, they must come to see and overcome all their followings and teachings of the many false preachers, teaching  false christs, who they have  raised up in all of today's Christ believing churches and are worshipped as false images of the true Jesus Christ. There is little to nothing in today's, professing Christianity that represents the true teachings of the true Jesus Christ and it is all because of the thousands upon thousands of false preachers and false pastors all preaching lies, half-truths, false doctrines, false gospels, false salvation, false grace, false mercy, false understanding of Christ's Word, all representing Satan the Devil, but telling everybody they are preachers of the true Jesus Christ. If there is any truth in today's churches, it is  mixed with all of the overwhelming lies and will still be in vain and come to naught.

     Jesus Christ foretold that ministers and their members and other people would be worshipping false christs. In Mat. 24, Christ says, 11 and 24, "For there shall arise false christs and false prophets, and shall deceive many and shall show great signs and wonders: insomuch that, if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect." The false preachers and false pastors have great followings of people, big audiences, big TV programs, all to deceive the many to look at them and their great work. They  are not preaching and bearing the fruit of the truth and the true gospel and true salvation. These great audiences and great followings of people and the great amount of money that is seduced from the people to give to produce their great lying signs and wonders, and works of false evangelists, are not fruits of a true preacher or true pastor and all will come to nothing. It is all a total waste of lives and money. These fruits are not the fruits of the true Jesus Christ, but the fruit of one of the many false christs they have exalted in their midst.

    Jesus Christ warns all people," that many, not a few, but many (preachers, pastors) would come in His Name, saying that Jesus is the Christ; and shall deceive many people," Mat. 24:5. Christ again warns all in Mat. 7:15-16, "Beware of false prophets (false pastors, false ministers) which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. V16, You shall know them by their fruits." Read our article "By Their Fruits." Remember Christ says it is the many that are deceived, not the few.

     So, in overcoming, a person must first overcome the world and all its religious deceptions that has produced a wide path of religious destruction for people desiring salvation. Secondly, you must overcome your own sins of transgressing God's Ten Commandments by repenting of your sins, which means you will cease breaking His Ten Commandments, including His 7th day Sabbath, which the Lord refers to as His test commandment. Jesus Christ will forgive you of your sins and promises to give you power, His Holy Spirit, to overcome and keep His commandments if you will diligently commit yourself to follow His way and keep His Word and laws. If a person today cannot see how he or she has been deceived and cannot see his sins now, then the Day of the Lord will serve its purpose well with all of its tribulation, testing, mental and physical suffering, taking away all of one's prosperity, money, peace of mind, and even one's dwelling and home to help you see your sins and your false religion leaving you with being imprisoned or death.

     The Day of the Lord will expose and reveal everyone's sins. Today's world and society likes to cover over all its sins of idolatry, Sabbath profaning by people doing all of their things on God's Sabbath, lies, stealing, fornication, adultery, covetousness, murdering through abortion and staged wars, abusers of themselves with mankind (homosexuals and sodomites). Jesus Christ, through Paul warns all people committing these such sins "you shall not inherit the Kingdom of God," I Cor. 6:9-10. Church leaders, priests, pastors, preachers, and people in general, all love to cover over all these terrible sins. They cover over the sins by not exposing people's sins and the need to repent, instead they teach people pleasing messages of easy listening about hope, love, grace without a true Christ foundation supporting their messages. The nation's government leaders love to likewise cover over all these terrible sins and even pass laws where God's true servants cannot preach about the penalties for committing such sins.

      The Day of the Lord will bring out all the coverups and secrecy of evils into the open all sins pertaining to lying, stealing, idolatry, fornication, murders,  and such like sins. Today's leaders in the media, church ministry and  government cover over these sins, or if they report on them, they address sins as only mistakes, or genetic problems, or as sicknesses and diseases and not as the transgression of God's laws, His Ten Commandments, and not as lust and greed in corrupting people's lives by corrupting their food and water supply and taxing their labor, property, and everything they own, see, or touch.. They have pushed and preached the Ten Commandments out of the churches and out of their own constitutional laws, out of government public meeting places through their own laws and church false doctrines. They are and have been making places for many other false religions to replace true Christianity.  

   Today there is very, very, little of true Christianity being preached to anyone, or to nations, or to all the world. There has been a terrible drought  of preaching the true Word of Jesus Christ. However, soon His Word will be preached all over the world on a large scale. All false religions and their idols, their false imagery and their corrupt  preachers, pastors, doctors, lawyers, and public leaders will be no more. What a day that will be!

    What if the Lord Jesus Christ made a proclamation about a curse beginning with  the Day of the Lord for all of the earth and said "all preachers, pastors,  evangelists, and all religious leaders of all religions and faiths who are liars and thieves (lying and stealing in the name of God or Jesus Christ) will be destroyed, burned up, if they don't repent at that moment of time and openly confess that they have been liars about the Word of  God and thieves dealing with the Lord's money which was taken from the people in the name of Jesus Christ." This would mean what they called their work of doing God's Work, they  and it will be burned up in their home along with their families, house and its timbers." Then the earth will be cleansed of all of these sinners, who were teachers and perpetrators of committing sin without guilt. They will all be destroyed. Surely Jesus Christ would not do this would He? However, all those that are truly repentant of all their lying, stealing, fornication and all such sins will be saved.

   Now Read His prophecy concerning such a judgment, Zech. 5:3-4. The time setting of these verses is the Day of the Lord and the Lord says, beginning in verse 3, "Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that steals shall be cut off as on this side according to it: and every one that swears shall be cut off as on that side according to it. V.4  I will bring it (the curse) forth, says the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house  of the thief, and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name (confessing he is man or woman of Christ or God): and it shall remain in the midst of his house and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."

     These are individual examples of burning types of Sodom and Gomorrah taking place all over the earth being the houses of them, their families and all lying and stealing religious leaders who confess that they are of God. These will be destroyed with fire, because they would not repent of their lies and their stealing and other horrible sins of fornication. Following these false preachers in that Day of the Lord and His judgment will be all other sinners who will not repent of their sins of lying and all such sins and who covered up for their lying minister. These church sinners will also be destroyed with fire.

     The Lord continues in Isa. 24:1,6 "Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad the inhabitants thereof." V.6 "Therefore has the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the  inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left."

     It is obvious from Scripture, Zech. 5:3-4 and I Peter 4:17, that  Jesus Christ will start His Day of the Lord with its judgment beginning with the church leaders, giving them their last opportunity of this age to repent of all their lying and stealing in His Name, and if they don't they will be destroyed with their families. They are the ones that are the most responsible in all of society for all the sins and abominations being committed by the people and the continuation of those sins which are getting worse, more perverted, more abominable and more wicked every single day. Pay day is nearly here. The wages for sin still must be paid with lives. Rom. 6:23 "The wages of SIN is death---."

     So in order to avoid going into and experiencing this terrible time of the Day of the Lord, and for God to have mercy upon your dear soul, to protect you during this 3 1/2 year  time period, Rev. 12:14, that Jesus Christ Himself said there has never been such a time and never will again be such a terrible time of suffering, destruction and death in the future, one must examine his life and ask the question, do I really understand my purpose in life? Do I really know why I have been created and given life to live? If I do, why have I not been doing anything to fulfill that great purpose? Have I just been wasting my life?

     God is not a respector of persons. What he has made available to one person, He has made available to all, and that is eternal life to be accepted into His Kingdom, to live forever. This eternal life is made available to every person who will repent of his or her sins and have faith in the only Savior, Jesus Christ, to forgive you of all your sins. To repent of your sins means, to stop going the opposite way of love. Love and sin are opposite directions in life. No one can be in God's kingdom unless he or she understands this and has made that decision in their life to now follow the way of love.     To go to the real Jesus Christ and repent of your sins means He will forgive you of your lying and stealing, even if it is some theft that you absolutely cannot restore, and now you will commit your life to giving, rather than to lying and stealing. The real Christ will forgive broken marriages and fornication of your past life in the flesh, if you now commit your life to looking upon your body as temple for God's Holy Spirit to dwell in and if married, your present marriage is now ever binding until death or with the only exception for divorce that Christ gave, Mat. 19:9, and that only exception is fornication.

   All other sins of commandment transgressions that cannot be corrected, such as having cut short another person's life, can be forgiven if you commit your life to never again take another person's life, but now commit yourself to giving of your life to His way of love. Jesus Christ demands a total repentance of all one's past and present sins, with a total commitment to change one's life, to not transgress His 10 commandments never again in any willful way or act. This is with the understanding given in Heb. 10:26. The Lord Jesus Christ promises to give you help after you repent and will now commit yourself to follow His path of love and obedience by giving you His Holy Spirit, God's power in you to keep this commitment to obey His 10 commandments.

    Jesus Christ tells us in II Peter 3:8-14 "---- The Lord Jesus Christ is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. V,10, "But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. V11, Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conduct and godliness. V14, Wherefore, beloved seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of Him, (of Jesus Christ) in peace, without spot, and blameless."

     How can one become without spot (without sin) and blameless (without blame of any sin, of transgressing of any of His 10 commandments  to be held against you? If you want to be accepted with the Lord Jesus Christ, please understand what He says in His Word. Christ says in Isa. 66:2, "But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit and trembles at My Word." Do you tremble and fear, you should be if you are not obeying God's Word and what is a poor spirit and a contrite spirit that the Lord desires? A poor (Hebrew dict. word 6041) spirit means, one that is depressed because of his sinful life and being sorrowful of his sins that  abases one's spirit, and causes one to be no longer highminded in his mind, life, circumstances,  and reaching that state in your life can and should result in one becoming humble, lowly and meek in one's spirit and mind, which is necessary for conversion, Mat. 18:3-4.

     A contrite (Hebrew dict. word 5223) spirit means that the spirit of a person's life, his mind, and heart  has been beaten down, bruised, crushed, smitten and who dwells in a crumbled and beaten down state, circumstance, that will produce a state of being oppressed, abased and humbled, all to produce a submissive, mournful and repentant mind and heart toward God, who is now ready to do what Jesus Christ commands of them. All the called and chosen children of God have had to go through this narrow path, Mat. 5:7-14,  to be humbled and be chosen of Him, to inherit His Kingdom.

     Jesus Christ teaches this understanding in His Sermon on the Mount. He says in Mat. 5:3-6, "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the Kingdom of heaven. (This is a person whose heart and mind, his spirit, has been beaten down.) V,4. Blessed are they that mourn, they shall be comforted "(a tearful, depressed state of seeing one's sins and desiring Christ's mercy and forgiveness so they can be forgiven and lifted up out of their unhappy state). V,5, Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth, to be meek one must be contrite and the Lord promises you will be blessed with a great inheritance). V,6, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." Members of today's, professing, Christianity do not even know what is righteousness, they are hungering for help and understanding and don't how to receive it or where to go to receive it.      Everybody who has not been through this abasing and sobering state, this crushing  and beaten down state of mind and spirit, will have to go through it in order to come to have a contrite and poor spirit required for salvation. It is much better to go through this now and come to this state of mind and heart now in relatively, peaceful times, rather than to be forced to go through it and acquire it during the Great Tribulation, the great fiery and testing time called the Day of the Lord. Jesus Christ teaches in His Word that this humble and meek state of a person can be achieved and accomplished NOW, rather than being forced into it later, during the terrible time and suffering of the Day of the Lord when a person will have to bow before the beast, take his mark or repent before the Lord and spend your last days accepting the real Christ and following Him and worshipping Him in prison before your death! You must come to see the need to totally repent now, rather than do it in the Day of the Lord, if you desire to be protected and taken to a safe place from all of the terrible persecution, suffering, and death.

    If you repent now and it is a real godly repentance from the heart,  it may be that God will spare you and protect you when that terrible day comes about. God tells you this in Zeph. 2:2-3 "Before the decree (marshall law) bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the lord's anger comes upon you  :  Seek you the Lord all you meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment (all which have earned His judgment): seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hid (protected on the earth) in the Day of the Lord's anger.

     Some people reading this feel and reason that they go to church every Sunday, keeping Satan's created Sabbath and pagan holidays, such as Christmas, Halloween, and Easter, following the laws  of their church and of men, are looked  up to in their community and church, and so see no need to repent of breaking Gods laws, His 10 commandments. This accepted Christian life is all contrary to Jesus Christ and His Teaching and if you cannot see any deception from all of this, then don't cry out to God when His Day of the Lord begins and tell Him in your suffering state that you were not warned from anyone about your vain and sinful life, James 5:19-20.

    The conclusion to this article on the  DAY Of THE LORD is to inspire you  and guide you to your purpose in your life . If you take this article's words seriously, it should help you realize  that  you  have  a  much  greater  purpose  in  life   than   the lowly or higher job or occupation you have now and have learned in life, or the lowest or highest responsibility you have worked hard to gain, or maybe the lowest place in life you have slipped to. God's purpose for you is so much greater than any of these life's positions, there is absolutely no comparison to any of them, and God's purpose is even more attainable. God has no respect of persons of who He calls and chooses. It is all based on who will repent and humble their heart to accept Christ, His sacrifice and make that change in their life.

     You have been called to be a spiritual being in God's Kingdom, a spiritual son of God,  to live forever, to inherit the earth, to be a leader, guide, and teacher in God's happy, joyous, and loving  peaceful Kingdom. If you have read this article you have been called. However, to gain such a great salvation and reward, the Lord says you must become humble, meek, and contrite of heart, Isa. 66:2 and Mat. 5:3-5. You do this through repentance of your sins, which means to stop breaking Christ's 10 commandments. This is the beginning start that God is choosing you and will put you on the way to become humble, meek and to be converted to God's way of conversion, to be God's spirit led person, rather than be led by man's flesh and man's spirit. Whatever high position you have in life and the pride that you have savored with that job in the eyes of the world and family will be abased when you repent of your sins.

    When you repent to change your heart to follow Christ and His way of love through His 10 commandments, this action on your part  will be rejected by most all of your friends and even  your family, (James 4:4). And you will be rejected by them, meaning that you will be abased, humbled, broken in your human spirit, because of this repentance and your righteous action to accept and follow Christ. Jesus Christ said if you desire life and desire to follow Him that it would be this way. Read and meditate on Mat. 10:32-42.

    Christ says if you want life in His kingdom, this is the first step. This is what is needed for you to begin your walk and life in following Christ and His way to eternal life. If you fully desire to commit yourself to this task and commitment, Christ promises to give you help through His Holy Spirit. Everyday after that, should be another step of overcoming obstacles cast in your path by Satan through your friends and the world to keep you from His Kingdom. However, if you will study His Word daily and daily pray to God for His continual help, Jesus Christ will help you overcome all obstacles and keep you in that narrow path and keep you from failing.
