Are Christians Under God's
What is the meaning of being under God's law and being under
What does Christ mean when His Word says, "----
You are not under the law, but under grace," Rom. 6:14
Does this mean that true Christians are now not under the responsibility
to obey the law, and so are not required to keep the ten commandments,
because they are now under grace. This is a grace that they have been
taught to accept as being Christ's continual forgiveness of their sins
even though they continue to break God's 10 commandments which the Scripture
says is sin, I John 3:4? Christ's Word also says in Romans
"Now we know that what things soever the law says, it says
to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and
all the world may become guilty before God.
" All people have sinned and so all stand guilty before God.
Are these two verses
saying that true Christians are not required to keep the law in being
accepted for God's grace and salvation as some teach, because
they have been taught that the Scripture says all of the world is guilty
and so are under God's law? This is said because of the fact that all
have sinned and are guilty of breaking God's law, and so today's Christians
believe the great delusion and lie that they are now not required to
keep God's law, if they will just accept the name of Christ.
Is this the meaning of these verses? If not, just what does it mean to
be under God's law or to be under God's grace?
In today's accepted Christianity, this teaching
that Christians are not under the law, meaning the 10 commandments and
the statues, is the wide and broad way of Christian teaching that Jesus
Christ referred to in Mat. 7:13, and is the accepted understanding and
faith in today's accepted Christian religion. Today's Christians have
come to believe that they are not under God's law, and that a true member
of Jesus Christ is not required to keep the 10 commandments in order to
be accepted by Christ to receive His grace, His forgiveness, and to receive
the gifts of His Spirit and salvation. However, Jesus Christ said
"broad is the way that leads to destruction (death), and many
there be which go in thereat: because difficult and narrow is the way,
which leads unto eternal life, and few there be that find it. Beware of
false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing
(causing people to believe they are Christ's pastors teaching
but inwardly are
Satan, with his cunning deception, has his own men trained
to be his ministers of light, II Corinthians 11:13-15, and by
his cunning deception, has deceived the whole world, Revelation 12:9.
People today do not believe that Satan has deceived
the whole wide world in all religions and yes, in today's accepted
Christianity! This is just another case of them not accepting what Christ's
Word teaches. And this is also true pertaining to all of Jesus
Christ's teachings and it is especially true when it comes to the importance
of keeping God's law as it pertains to being accepted by the true Jesus
Christ for forgiveness of one's sin and receiving salvation. They are
deceived because they follow the god of this world, Satan, II Corinthians
4:4. Satan had all the people of the world deceived in Noah's day, except
Noah and his family, and caused all others to have to perish in the flood.
Why? Because they believed Satan, that God's law had no authority, and
was not important in their life to obey in order for their being accepted
for receiving salvation, and for their protection, and so all were deceived
and seduced and come to be greatly involved with all kinds of sins of
wickedness, just as it is today. Study Genesis 6:5, 11-13.
Likewise, since the flood,
there have been areas of population, nations and cities, such as Sodom
and Gomorrah and other cities along the plain in Lot's day, that were
totally wiped out by fire and brimstone, because the people of those places
believed God's law had no power and authority in their lives, and that
God's authority through His Law was not important in determining their
lifestyle and behavior of life, so they sinned greatly before the Lord.
Both destructions, without question, did not believe obedience to God's
law was necessary in being accepted by the Lord for receiving grace
and salvation and protection from God's wrath and so all perished
in these God produced destructions, Luke 17:26-30.
The Bible says both Noah and Lot
found grace in the Lord's sight. The Word says,
"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord,"
Gen. 6:8, and Lot was a righteous man in His life
and found grace before the Lord and was vexed daily by all the sins
of Sodom. Gen. 19:19 says
thy servant (Lot) has found grace in your sight ----."
In both cases it was because of Noah's and Lot's righteousness,
obeying God's commandments and their strong faith in the Lord that they
found God's Grace and His protection and safety from the earth's destroying
water and fire.
People today do not even know what
is righteousness in order to receive Christ's Grace and protection
and safety in these soon coming days of the Son of God, which is another
worldwide destruction coming against people and their sins. Read and

What Is Righteousness
Jesus Christ uses these two destructions
of these people in history to warn people of today to get their houses
in order, or suffer the consequences. Christ teaches that people must
repent, live their lives to obey His law of love, His ten commandments,
as they pertain to his LOVE, in order to being accepted by Christ
for His justification of their past sins and the receiving of salvation.
This is the Gospel (good news) for receiving salvation. Or if people
will not change, become converted to the way of God, today's people will
all likewise suffer death through a worldwide destruction. It is because
Christ commands His law given in judgments against sin to be fulfilled
in their life, which is the judgment of the penalty of death.
Jesus Christ came preaching a warning of repentance and judgment
"Unless you repent, you shall
all likewise perish,"
Matthew 4:17, Luke 13:1-5, John 9:39.
Is this also a warning from Jesus Christ to all sinners for
today? Christ did say,
"As it was in the days of Noah and Lot, so shall it be in the
days of the Son of man ---,"
Christ qualifies the time of this soon coming destruction by
"Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed,"
Luke 17:26-30. The true and real Jesus Christ,
the Son of man shall be revealed during the beginning and time of
the great tribulation coming upon all the earth. People today, as people
were then, are going about their daily life of living from "the forbidden
tree," the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, living their lives
as they so choose, by their own standard, marrying and giving in marriage
by their own laws, not God's laws, and by doing so are rejecting God's tree
of life, the way of His 10 commandments, the way of having one's name written
in the book of life.
Society and Christianity of today call
sin, an optional lifestyle, and are confessing and justifying it all
by their misunderstanding of what is true freedom, or their victory,
that they think and confess through Satan's deception that they think
they have in their "christ"---a false christ. There is no freedom from
sin and its curse, the curse of death, outside of a true repentance followed
by bearing the fruit of one's repentance and in faith accepting of Jesus
Christ and His blood sacrifice.
These people, in reality, are resisting,
rebelling, and making light of Christ, and the purpose of His shed
blood, and of God's ten commandments. They go about teaching it is
impossible to keep God's ten commandments, and that Christians are free
of law keeping, and are not under God's law by their own false definition
of freedom, meaning to them to be free of not having to obey His law.
They call God's law, the law of enslavement, legalism, bondage, a law
of no importance, or no value in their life, a law of curses, and not
important in their salvation. This is what is taught to people in today's
accepted Christianity by all of their false pastors. By this
fruit of their ministry, they are teaching iniquity,
meaning lawlessness , or no law keeping
, and are workers of iniquity . Christ in
Matthew 7:23 says, "And, then will
I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, you that work iniquity.
So as it was in the days
of Noah and Lot, so shall it be in these last days of the Son of Man,
there will be no protection from the
"fervent heat and burning up of the works of man,"
which is soon to take place on this earth. And without
a good understanding of Jesus Christ, His message and His mission and
taking action to obey His Gospel, the earth with all of its inhabitants
will perish. The works of man from Genesis to the present day is all
about the examples of the evil works and corrupt fruit of men and women
living from the ways of "the forbidden tree," and inspired by Satan. Peter
warns of this in II Peter 3:9-10, speaking of this coming great tribulation
and the earth's devastation which is Christ's coming Day of the Lord! However,
in these verses He also says,
"---He is not willing that any should perish, but all should
come to REPENTANCE. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in
the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the
works that are therein shall be burned up."
The meaning of being "under God's law" is a missing gap of
understanding in all of today's Christianity.
This missing gap of understanding
in today's Christian teaching is this; Christ says that God's law is
to be fulfilled and will be fulfilled in every Christian's life, one
way or the other, just as Christ said it would,
"That not one dot or tittle shall pass from the law until all
Matthew 5:18. The missing gap of understanding in today's Christianity
is, that its teachers do not understand that God's law consists of
two active parts, the doing or obeying part, and the penalty part and
that all His Law must be fulfilled in one's life, either through life
or death. Man must understand that both parts of the law must be fulfilled
and how they are to be fulfilled, if man is to understand how he can
receive salvation. Christ came to fulfill the second part for
man, making a way for man to be saved from the penalty of his sins, if man
would repent and change his life to learn God's love.
The first part, the doing
or obeying part of God's law, is directed to man and his love relationship
with God and his neighbor, and this must be fulfilled by man obeying God's
ten commandments. The second part of God's law, the penalty part, is
that there are commandments given as God's judgments upon and against
every unrepentant man, every sinner, because of his sins (commandment
transgressions) and these judgments must be fulfilled by man, and will cause
him to lose eternal life unless he accepts the only substitutionary sacrifice
that has fulfilled the law's requirement for the penalty part of sin, and
that is JESUS CHRIST! Man cannot fulfill the
penalty part with his sinning life and expect to be accepted to live
eternally! Why? Because all men and women
have sinned, and qualified to received death and need JESUS CHRIST,
who without sin, has qualified and fulfilled that part of the law for man,
as man's Savior, if man will in FAITH accept Christ
and His sacrifice. Christ's shed blood and death
in the flesh fulfilled the penalty part of the law for
man's sins. God's law says in many different places
"the soul (the living breathing person) that sins it (or he)
The soul, which means the living being
with his spirit of life, shall die, shall perish.
The first, active, binding part
of His law that must be fulfilled is the obeying of His ten commandments,
that directs everyone how he must love his Creator God, and how one
is to love his neighbor as himself. The second part of God's law is given
as commandments in judgments against breaking any of His ten commandments,
or His statutes (commandments) that detail and magnify His ten commandments,
to give examples of how to love God and neighbor, and is still binding
on every person, and likewise carries with it a penalty fulfillment for
its transgression. Some of God's statutes have already been fulfilled
because the law, the directing factors of those statutes dealing with
priests and sacrifices have come and gone, or have been fulfilled
by Christ as in the case of animal sacrifices and laws pertaining to the
Old Testament priesthood as these things pointed to the coming of Christ
as man's Savior.
All of the ten commandments must be obeyed by man in order
to fulfill them in love, because God's Word says, "Love is the fulfilling
of the law,"
Romans 13:10, and without love, man is nothing and
will become nothing," I Corinthians 13:1-3.
"For this is the love of God that we keep His commandments,"
5:3, and this is speaking of the ten commandments of God, because
there is not another set of commandments given in the Word of God, that
is foundational and fulfilling in teaching man how a person is to love
God, his neighbor, and himself, as is the all important ten commandments.
Every commandment and statute
directs a man on how he is to love, not only God, but himself, caring
for himself and for others. This will also pertain to taking care of one's
on health, not the government's responsibility, as in eating certain
clean foods, obeying laws pertaining to eating clean and unclean animals,
fish, and fouls, Lev. 11 and Deut. 14, eating nourishing and wholesome
foods, not most of the food sold across the counter, drinking clean and
pure water and beverages and setting this example before your neighbor. God's
commandments pertains to obeying all laws pertaining to marriage,
family, and home, cleanliness of body, exercising his body, and such, is
to be obeyed, fulfilled in love for himself, and as it pertains to others.
When a person doesn't care for himself, his body, he is hating even his
own flesh and is breaking the 6th commandment, and will not have love for
himself or his own neighbor, and his prayer when he prays for healing will
not be answered.
Every commandment or
statute that guides and directs a man on how one is to love his neighbor
as himself, and to love his GREAT GOD, his CREATOR must be obeyed,
and fulfilled in love, in the letter and spirit of the law, or if they
are not fulfilled, obeyed, the penalty for their transgression must
be fulfilled in one's death. "The wages of sin (breaking God's law) is
death," Romans 6:23.
The second part of God's law that
must be fulfilled is God's commandments, given as His judgments against
sin. This second part has power and authority over everyone's life
who has not repented and will not change his life, and who continues
to live in his own chosen, alternative lifestyle bearing the fruit of
the forbidden tree. This is whether one's alternative lifestyle is idolatry,
living in adulterous relationships, living by the way of fornication,
homosexual activity, stealing from God as in tithing, or man as robbers
and thieves, covetousness, or desiring the unlawful and the unclean, drunkenness,
and yes, profaning God's 7th-day Sabbath and all such sins. Anyone continuing
in these activities of sin and such wickedness, will not be in God's
Kingdom, because they are under God's law, the power and authority of His
law, I Corinthians 6:9-10, given in His law as judgments against sin.
The only way anyone can be freed
from being under His law, that is to be released and freed from the
death sentence of the law, is to repent, change one's lifestyle,
stop sinning, and begin obeying God's ten commandments. Then that person
in faith, must accept Jesus Christ's fulfillment of this part of God's
law, His substitutionary death and sacrifice, that justifies the judgment
of God's law for every sinner's sins, which is the judgment of death.
Everyone, "no exceptions, even
professed ministers," who have accepted Christ and His fulfillment of
death for one's sins, but who continues in the sin of adultery, fornication,
idolatry, homosexual activity, drunkenness, Sabbath transgression and
all such sins, must understand, he is not forgiven, is still under
the law . This means they are under the power and authority of God's
law, and are in a state of rejection by Christ, and will not be in God's
"The soul that sins, continues in sin, continues to
break God's commandments, must die," Ezekiel 18:4, 20.
"The wages of sin, the consequences of continuing to break God's
law, is death,"
Romans 6:23. Why, because they are still under the
law, the power and authority of the law, the judgments of God's law.
The law has power and authority over all sinners by God's command, and
will be fulfilled if there is no change of the heart on a sinner's part
to repent and bear the fruit of that repentance.
True Christians are those who have truly
repented, changed their heart to keep God's ten commandments, and are
now fulfilling God's law in love. These saints have also fulfilled His
law, His commands given in judgments by accepting Christ's substitutionary
fulfillment of the death penalty for their sins, and so are now not under
the law of God, the penalty of the law, which is death. They are now
under God's grace, the power of His favor, which is His mercy and forgiveness,
along with the blessing of His favor, of receiving the gift of His Holy
Spirit, to help them to be empowered as His true Christians, to obey His
ten commandments. Anyone who does not understand this is denying God's
Grace, and does not have the presence of God the Father, and Jesus
Christ living in himself, through the power of His Holy Spirit, and is
still under God's law, the penalty of the law. With Jesus Christ living
in a person, it is possible to obey God's ten commandments and statutes.
Christ says in Luke 18:27,
"The things which are impossible with men are possible with
God lives in a person through His Holy Spirit, and
helps that person obey and keep His 10 commandments of love.
If one sins willfully after understanding this truth,
and who despises and teaches against God's law, who casts off and
rejects God's law, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a
fearful looking for of a fiery judgment.
Study Hebrews 10:26-29. True, deeply converted Christians,
with changed hearts, are not under God's law, because they have repented
of their sins, and have accepted Christ's fulfillment of the penalty
of death for their justification of their sins, and are now obeying His
commandments of love, which love is the fulfilling of the law, Romans
13:10. Christ fulfilled the law of love by giving His life in death for
repentant man. Does Christ love everybody? Only if they will repent and really
change their life, otherwise, He will destroy them and every professed false
Christian, along with the rest of the world in the earth's judgment and
fire! Study II Peter 3:7-14.
God's Word says
plainly in II Tim. 2:19 -
"----The Lord knows them that are His. And let every one that
names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."
The word iniquity here means lawlessness, not
keeping God's Law, the breaking of God's law, the breaking of His 10
commandments and every person desiring eternal life must depart from
this lawlessness of iniquity.
A professing Christian that names the name of Christ, but who
is still breaking God's commandments is still under God's law
and not under His grace , and will reap the penalty of Christ's
wrath when He comes back to this earth with judgment. Are you and your
house ready for His return?
